Paver Patios

Paver Patios and Walkways

A paver patio is only as good as what is underneath it. Pavers set on a thin or poorly compacted base will heave and separate after a couple of northern Illinois freeze and thaw cycles, no matter how good they looked on day one. Panther builds the base properly, sets the pavers on it and finishes the edges so the patio stays flat and tight. We do new patios, walkways and extensions to hardscape you already have.

Why Choose Us

Why These Last

The Base Is the Job

Excavation, compacted aggregate and proper depth. This is the part that decides whether a patio lasts.

Built for Freeze and Thaw

Northern Illinois cycles through freezing and thawing all winter. The build accounts for it.

Edges That Stay Put

Proper edge restraint is why a paver field holds its shape instead of creeping outward over time.

Water Goes Somewhere

Pitched to drain away from the house rather than pooling on the surface or against the foundation.

Our Process

Our Process

1

Measure and Design

We size the patio, pick the paver and pattern, and set where it drains.

2

Excavate and Compact

Dig out, build the base in lifts and compact each one. The slow part, and the important one.

3

Set the Pavers

Bedding layer screeded, pavers laid to pattern, cuts made clean at the edges.

4

Lock It In

Edge restraint installed, joint sand swept and compacted, site cleaned up.
